Meet a female teacher ‘Mrs. Soleye’ who help develop school into industrial Tech

Mrs. Soleye Oluwatosin Ruth, 29yrs old and a graduate of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko with a degree in Industrial mathematics has caught the attention of stakeholders in her community.
Mrs. Soleye Oluwatosin Ruth was employed in 2017 at Government Science & Technical College to teach Mathematics and as an instructor in a technical institute in the same school. She, however, met the technical facilities in the school in a deplorable condition and with the students not showing interest in the industrial know-how in the school.
As a graduate of Industrial Mathematics with a quest to sustain development through Industrial Mathematics, she drew out a plan to turn around the deplorable state of the school in terms of Industrial technology and developing student’s attitudes towards it.
In January 2018, Mrs. Soleye started a project tag ‘Sustaining Development through Industrial Mathematics’. Despite facing many challenges and setbacks, she was determined to see the project through. Mrs. Soleye Oluwatosin started meeting with stakeholders in the technology and education sector, traditional rulers, philanthropists, etc, orientating them on the role play by industrial mathematics in national building.
In November 2018, her project got the attention of the government, her school was provided with modern types of equipment with experienced instructors/operators.
Mrs. Soleye continues in her quest to teach, instruct and orientate her students on the need for national development through industrial mathematics, within the space of 8months, there was a tremendous turn around in industrial capacity from her students. Over 300 students graduated from the institute with a good grade and 22 out of them got a full scholarship to further their studies in China, which has never been recorded before in the history of the school.
So far her project has gulf #3million Naira from the Government and other stakeholders.
In a quest to spread the initiative across the country and beyond, Mrs. Soleye Oluwatosin Ruth officially launched the project on 8 October 2019.
Dignitaries from ministry of Education led by permanent secretary Mr. S.A Rasheed, parents, stakeholders, Traditional rulers among them is His Royal highness Oba Akindele Muftau grace the occasion, Mrs. Soleye appreciate the dignitaries present, in her statement ”My quest has always been a society with a sustainable development through industrial mathematics, Industrial mathematics is a very wide study.
Friedman( 1999), who defined industrial mathematics as ”the creation of mathematical models and the development of algorithms for computer simulations to obtain solutions for problems in the industry”. National development involves the interplay of people and their environment to enhance the living standards of members of society. Indices for measuring national development could be material or social. The important thing is that a country develops when the welfare of its citizens are well taken care of. Industrial Mathematics is a specialized field of study with various applications to national development.
She elaborated on her vision ”my vision for the next 7years is to establish an industrial institute equipped with state of the earth facilities that will further enhance the students capacity in industrial work at secondary schools level across the state which will then spread across the 6-Geo political zone of this country. This will no doubt boost the industrial know-how of the country.
The project has already started in this school as all can see.
This project will gulf $5billion when completed,

The representative from the government in the ministry of education re-iterated the government support and commended  Mrs. Soleye for her initiative, commitment, and dedication.
